Jon and I will have to coordinate for our events again. My hunch is that I'll be happy to run Aliens, but that I'll also want to run some RPG stuff. I don't imagine that I'll end up running Aliens every night, but I suppose you never know

Allan.
Agreed. Otherwise, based on the preliminary schedule, Black Blade would have to hire some serious booth talent to manage the company store for most of the convention.

Has there been a further refinement of what the con is wanting for or expecting from this special guest game? Forex:
- will the game be promoted as a charity game again, or will it just be one of the regularly sanctioned events of the con?
- is the assumed game going to be OD&D unless there is a push by the players to play something else?
- have the con admins solicited potential DMs/referees for this special guest game? If not, when might DM solicitations be made? And high on my list of burning questions, am I in the potential DM pool again this year?
Yes it will be a Charity game and we will probably have it every year from now on. The money raised last year wasn't a lot, but the charity was very pleased.
In 2013 and beyond, I'll probably ask for DMs to submit requests to run the game since I think it's as much fun for a DM to run a game full of Special Guests as it is for attendees to play in the game.
I think in 2012, it'll be me DMing...
Though Tim Kask is the only real reason it's suppose to be OD&D... more along the lines that Frank wants Tim to remain an OD&D "virgin" of sorts... I think I'll be running something more along the lines of AD&D 1e... but I won't tell Tim
Basically, it'll be a hack-n-slash with some loose rules from OD&D, AD&D and my own rules from days gone by.
I will hope in the future, this Charity Game will always remain a "non denominational" game event. I'd rather not have any of the Special Guests feel like they are "endorsing" any specific game in particular.
So, it will be fun, it will be little different, and I know the rules, what does and doesn't work, and those playing will have to go with the flow....
