The link to make reservations at the hotel is the link you see on the main page of the site, but I'll post it here as well:

DFW Airport Marriott South

This link presumes you are arriving Wed and leaving out on Mon, so change the dates as you see fit for your stay

It seems odd that the site would assume we're arriving a full day before the con actually starts. Is there anything happening on Wednesday night or before Thursday at 6pm that would make it worthwhile for a regular attendee to book a hotel night for the 1st?

There are reasons to be there Wed, along with things happening before 1800 Thursday ... that's all I can say

Others can elaborate if they want to let people in on the "unlisted" fun

Wed night for the past few years has been the "Pre-Con Get it On" which consists of off-schedule games as well as a few scheduled sessions such as Steve Winter's Knights of Camelot, one of the Chariot racing qualifiers, and many other RPGS and board games run by various attendees.
