chainsaw's AS&SH events was created by chainsaw
Next year I plan to run three events (below) using the Jeff Talanian's Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea (AS&SH) rules/setting. We had a really great time in my two Crystal Point events this past June, so I'm looking forward to June 2017. :)

Game Title: Foolsgrave (Thurs 12-6)
Game System: Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea
Number of players: 6-8
Pregens/Level of characters: rolled at table / 1
World/Setting: Hyperborea
Game Info: Khromarium's mysterious spiraling towers of black gneiss predate mankind, an ever-present reminder of how strange and alien things once ruled Hyperborea. During the Festival of Plutonia, a sombre commemoration of death, darkness and the all-consuming void, one such tower's impenetrable doors slowly creaked open, admitting anyone brave enough to descend into its depths. Many have entered, but few have returned - some with wealth overflowing, others simply mad, drooling and babbling. Locals now refer to the labyrinth as Foolsgrave. A megadungeon crawl for 6-8 player characters.

Game Title: Crash at Corpse Creek (Fri 12-6)
Game System: Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea
Number of players: 6-8
Pregens/Level of characters: yes / 3-5
World/Setting: Hyperborea
Game Info: A strange object has fallen from the stars, crashing into the cold, haunted swamp of Corpse Creek. Several curious trappers from a nearby camp went to investigate, but none have returned. The remainder have hired your group to explore the site and find their friends, but they warn you that Corpse Creek teems with the living dead and that its giant bugs have awakened early from the winter freeze. Some of these creatures are strange varieties never seen before in Hyperborea. A site-based adventure for 6-8 player characters of levels 3-5.

Game Title: Crash at Corpse Creek (Sat 12-6)
Game System: Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea
Number of players: 6-8
Pregens/Level of characters: yes / 3-5
World/Setting: Hyperborea

Awesome! I'm in for one, probably a Thurs or Fri timeslot.

Honored and flattered, Walter! As with last year, I will have run/playtested these events at Gary Con 1-2 times already, so I expect them to play pretty smoothly. B)

Very flattered to see that some folks have signed up early for my Thurs, Fri and Sat games. In return for your support, I'm hard at work creating some bizarre and deadly new monsters and traps to crush you.

Adding a Crystal Point game for Friday night. If you missed it last year and have an open slot, now's your chance.

Title: The Strange Tale of Crystal Point (Friday 7PM+)
System: Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea
Players: up to 8
Pregens/Levels: Yes/7-9
World/Setting: Hyperborea

Description: In the far reaches of Hyperborea’s Crab Archipelago, lies a small, mountainous island known as Crystal Point. Passing sailors have recently seen a crimson glow in Crystal Point’s waters, beams of reddish-brown light shining up from its steep cliffs and unusually frequent lightning storms. An Atlantean sage in Khromarium, Hyperborea’s largest city, has heard these strange tales and approached your party with a promising explanation. He believes Crystal Point may hold the ruins of a lost Atlantean colony – and its secrets! Eager for adventure and treasure, you agreed to explore the island and, after a long journey, have finally set foot on its rocky beach. A site-based adventure for 6-8 player characters of levels 7-9.

Adding a Saturday night session of my living dungeon, Foolsgrave! Lots of fun at Gary Con. Check it out if you can! Also, if you play in the Thursday game and live, you can bring your same character.
